This is the most embarrassing post I’ve ever made… A while ago I set out on a fantastically painful journey. I was nearly 250lbs, drank every day, never exercised, and was in complete delusion about my weight(also about my stand up, but that’s another story ;) ). I remember walking up ant hills and being winded and going to the Olive Garden having at least 5-6 sodas, 2-3 bowls of soup, eating my plate and finishing whatever my finance and daughter didn’t eat. I thought I was a “big guy,” turns out I was just a fat one. Since then I weigh about 175 and I’ve lost close to 70lbs. This wasn’t over night. This wasn’t 1 year or even 3. It’s been 7 years. The first 3 were just spent drinking and thinking about it. The next 4 years (on and off) were spent changing my diet, not drinking for one of those years which made me realize how much of a loser I really was, and exercising. Currently I haven’t drank alcohol for about 7 months and hope to remain that way for as long as I can. I’m not going to say no if like Tom Cruise wants to have a beer if we bump into each other at the airport. I do not condemn drinking or people who do unless you’re trying to lose weight. I’m super emotional as I write this but I can finally say I really do see the light at the end of the tunnel. I couldn’t be more proud of myself. I did this for myself. I did this so I can hopefully live long enough to see all of my children grow old and have kids while simultaneously spending all of their inheritance. In these pictures I’m posting: Beach 2010, side by sides 2013 and today Thanks to Tony Horton and the guys and gals at Beachbody. Without you I don’t think any of this would have happened. You taught me a lot of great things and were and still are my workout buddies. Also a special thanks to Molly Sharrow who pointed out that I had man tits which triggered pretty much all of this. Maybe you scrolled past this, maybe you’re still reading, at the very least I hope you’ll find it inspiring. True changes can be made to your body you only have to learn to hate everything that tastes good, stay hungry, and have FUN.
